In support to the Government’s Programs on environmental protection, the Masigasig Troopers were invited to join the Nationwide Coastal Clean-up Day by Mr Vicente R Cabrera PhD, CESO V of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region IV-A CALABARZON. The target was the coastal area of Brgy Dalahican in Lucena City.
The activity is a yearly event, and this year, it was conducted on 18 September 2009. As always, when it comes to helping the community, the Masigasig Troopers readily accepted the invitation.
At first, the Masigasigs were shock by the state of the coast. So much plastics and other garbage were piled up. The cleaning seems to be not an easy job. However, with the participation of personnel from the DENR and other line government agencies, non-governmental organizations and the people in the community, it was a job well done.
The activity started at 7:30 AM and ended at 11:00 AM. To the Masigasigs, more power. Keep up the good work.
