Acting Commander, Light Armor Division Visits Home of Masigasig Troopers

BGEN CARLOS E LUCES AFP, the newly installed Acting Commander of the Light Armor Division (LAD), Philippine Army with his staff visited the Headquarters of the 4th Light Armor (Masigasig) Battalion in Camp Nakar Lucena City on 23 June 2010. The event was jibed with the opening of the Battalion re-training previously scheduled early this year. However, due to the National and Local Elections, the opening was postponed.

The activity started with a field mass officiated by MAJOR BERNIE E LINGCONG (CHS) PA, Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM) Chaplain and subsequently followed by the opening ceremony of the Battalion re-training  with our Commander Light Armor Division as the keynote Speaker. LTC ARNOLD M MACADANGDANG CAV (GSC) PA, the Commandant of The Armor School formally opened the re-trainng. The battalion retraining is to further enhance  our efficiency, combat effectiveness and troop readiness.

A company size honor guard was accorded to Commander, LAD by HSOLCOM headed by COL HERNANDO DC IRIBERRI (GSC) PA, Chief of Unified Command Staff of SOLCOM as military host.

A briefing was also presented by CO, 4LAB to the Commander, LAD regarding the Area of Operations of the unit as well as its accomplishments and status of resources.  
     
Before their departure, a tree planting activity was conducted. This is also one of his directives for the personnel of LAD to plant trees.

  1. As a cavalry man I will never forget the well fitted tanksuit uniform in the light armor brigade, 3rd light armor battalion. GO ARMOR!!!
